At RACKsteel, we get inquiries for relocations on a weekly basis. In this case, we were engaged to teardown existing tire racking, bundle it safely, and re-install the material at a new location. We also had to outfit additional space with new racking that we quoted and supplied as part of the tunrkey project.
We wanted to get a full understanding of the expectations the client had in mind. Relocations can often be challenging with landlords, existing rent agreements, and access to a new building all factors our team has to consider. with projects such as these. Our first step was to get a custom blue tire rack system quoted and sent for production at our factory. We were running a 10 week lead time and planned the teardown of some material to get started in advance. This would allow our client to move into the new building with existing material to get operating faster. By the time we had existing material standing, our new material was close to arrival. We continued with teardown, bundling, and tranporting in phases while timing the installation of new material.
