Pallet racking requirements may change over time. If your business requires us to dismantle several sections of rack equipment, call the experts at Racksteel. Even for a large scale racking tear down, we often are able to offer a buyback and recylcing program to clients that don’t need it anymore. But when planning a warehouse relocation, Racksteel will prepare a project management plan including several key items:
First we evaluate the existing racking and the building documentation of the new facility. With robust seismic requirements in B.C. particularly, it’s important to get this done as Step 1.
We determine a timeline that you need to be out of the facility and the earliest you can enter the new facility with the proper paperwork in place
Our installation team will develop a plan of action to cause minimal disruption to your operating facility if we must do the relocation of pallet racking in stages.
Once we’re in the new facility, our team will install the racking to engineered spec and ensure the previous warehouse is clean and ready for the new user.
Remember to ensure the racking you currently have will be suitable to use in the new facility, and that engineering and permit paperwork lead times are in line with your schedule. Consult a Racksteel project sales consultant to present a relocation and rack reinstallation plan in detail.
Our team brings the proper tools, equipment, and safety gear to ensure the tear down and/or relocation meets RACKsteel Material Handling standards.
We bundle, transport, and reinstall the racking to your new configuration and layout. With a fully stocked inventory program, we can help achieve more storage with add-on sections or repair/replacement parts as needed.
We will present options for a buyback to get you the most value the industry can offer. When moving to a newer or larger facility, we often buyback your existing racking and apply the discount to your new order.
When there is damage or the racking is just not sellable, we will dispose the racking with our transport vehicles. It’s having peace of mind that your racking disposal is being taken care of by the experts at Racksteel.
