Welcome to RACKsteel

Prior to getting engineered stamped drawings, our engineering partners will need data of the building to properly analyze the maximum storage capacities.
It’s best not to assume the slab of the building is sufficient for your proposed racking system until a professional engineer reviews it. They will require stamped structural drawings to reference when analyzing the rack system. Consider going to your local City Hall if you don’t have the structural drawings available. If you are unable to obtain those documents, core samples and evaluation through a 3rd party may be required.
Understanding the soil condition is an essential part of seismic engineering. A geotechnical report with a Site Class will be required. If you need assistance, we have great partners that can provide you with the necessary reports. Our Project Sales team can work with you on reviewing what documents must be provided prior to an engineer issuing stamped drawings, which is a recommend service for all our projects.
