With Very Narrow Aisle (VNA) pallet racking, aisle widths are reduced to 50”-78” to maximize cubic space and allow more storage, with racking heights reaching up to 56 feet. This system is optimized by using specialized equipment like Turret forklifts, which operate with guide rail or wire guidance for precision. In addition to improving storage density, VNA systems offer faster pallet access and can accommodate various equipment such as walkies, carts, and Swing Reach or Picker Trucks, making them ideal for streamlining operations in space-constrained warehouses. This project involved multiple layout design visits to ensure the racking system could meet the demands of a highly active warehouse with constantly changing storage needs. It required meticulous planning and close collaboration to deliver a tailored solution that supported their growing operations. Installing racking in an inactive cooler allowed for efficient material storage streamlining the installation process. After organizing the workspace and setting laser levels for accuracy, we installed over 100 uprights and 700 beams in two weeks, ensuring the solution met client requirements while completing the project on time.
