Job Site Installation
• Read the Dispatch channel via slack daily to ensure job site location is confirmed and directions are clear
• Install racking, shelving & related storage or material handling systems as per directions, drawings and other instructions
• Communicate actively with crew, including all Levels, and Installation Manager
• Responsible for quality workmanship and representing our firm at the highest standards
• Submit Daily Installation Reports updating on the job progress as delegated
• Ensure toolbox is organized and the wellbeing of tools
• Ensure scissor lift and forklift equipment are in safe working order prior to use
• Follow safety conduct and promote a safe work environment on the job sites
• Report unsafe practices to enforce health and safety policies and regulations in the workplace
• Ensure you bring a positive mindset and team-oriented attitude daily
Occasionally help will be required with:
Frame Build
• Build frames according to Work Orders and assembly guides after being dispatched by the Installation Manager
• Build frames to according to company process and quality standards
• Utilize tools, shop crane, and other material handling equipment with care
Warehouse, Shop Work
• Keep warehouse and workspace organized and clean
• Maintain a safe work environment in the warehouse
• Make sure equipment is charged and ready to be sent to the job sites
• Make sure vehicles are parked in designated spots in the warehouse
• Unload and receive containers and other deliveries
• Actively complete tasks as assigned by our Operations department
• Must have a Valid BC Drivers License and phone
• 2+ years of racking installation and/or construction experience
• Will be required to use power tools, lifting, moving, and adjusting rack systems
• Safe work history with a commitment to adhere to safe work policies and procedures
• To be reliable and punctual
• To have a strong work ethic, and be capable of sustaining physical activity for the duration of an 8–10 hour shift
• To be able to learn new tasks and follow instructions
• To be able to perform repetitive work with accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to read construction drawings
• Work well with others
• Your own steel toed safety boots although we provide uniform and reimbursement for steel toe shoes and work pants
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs max, handling heavy loads
